Retirement Living Management
Our Mission
The desire of Retirement Living is to honor God by providing the elderly with a lifestyle that values their identity, their independence, and their dignity.
Our History
Brother-in-laws, Douglas Maas and Paul Wyman have owned and operated Retirement Living
Management since its inception and the purchase of their first adult foster care homes in 1998. In 1999, they opened their first Green Acres Retirement Living Community in Greenville. "Green Acres", with its unique streetscape design, was so popular that over the next several years "Green Acres" Communities were built in Ionia, Cadillac, Manistee and most recently under construction in Mason.
In 2001, Aspen Ridge Retirement Village located in Gaylord, was completed to address the need for assisted living and dementia care in northern Michigan. At the same time, the owners were also opening a beautiful home in Mecosta called Royal View Retirement Community.
In 2003, Doug and Paul purchased Nottingham Place in Midland, filling a need in that community for more supportive care. In 2007, they added to their unique streetscape design with a "Town Square" featuring a 24-hour cafe, post office, and pharmacy. Two new homes to date have opened with this new design; Turning Brook located in Alpena and Chestnut Fields located in Muskegon.
